The Event
As many of you know we were fortunate to have Charlie & Will of Charlie Bears visit us for a
Signing Event in August 2008 & we are delighted that they are visiting us at Kingswear Bears again
on SUNDAY 24 OCTOBER 2010 for another Signing Event.

The Event will take place at Kingswear Village Hall, just a few paces up the hill from our shop.
The doors will open at the Village Hall at 11am when Charlie will start to sign
bears, bags & tags & she will stay until 3pm.

This Signing Event is a fantastic opportunity not to be missed. Not only is it one of the last chances to adopt a Scribbles bear (see below) but Charlie & Will have informed us that it is one of only 4 remaining chances in the UK to meet them from now until 2012!

Charlie will be available to sign the tags/bags of any bear purchased on the day. Charlie is also happy to sign some of your existing Charlie Bears collection - experience of recent signing events had led to
Charlie asking that, for the comfort and security of everyone there, you bring only the tags or bags &
NOT the bears themselves. We anticipate a large number of people attending this Event so in order
to be fair to all the collectors queuing to meet Charlie we ask that you bring along no more than 5 of the tags/bags of your favourite Charlie Bears that you have previously adopted.

We shall be serving complimentary tea, coffee, soft drinks & biscuits & there will be
plenty of seats available.

Scribbles - Limited Edition Event Bear
We shall also have available a limited edition Event bear named Scribbles. A PLUMO (plush & mohair) bear priced at £39.99.
Charlie will sign the tag of each bear especially to the adoptee.
This is one of the last chances to buy this bear & he shall be retired once all Signing Events are complete this year.

If you are unable to come along to our Signing Event then we can arrange to send a Scribbles bear to you - payment will be taken at point of order & we cannot offer any refunds as these bears will be personalised to you - please advise us by telephoning the shop on 01803 752632 or by e-mail teddies@kingswearbears.com
& let us know at the time of order the name of the person adopting
the bear so that he can be personalised.

Prize Draws
There will be tickets on sale for a couple of raffles on the day, one of which will be a
Charity draw for a one of a kind Charlie Bear. We would definitely recommend buying a raffle ticket
for this very special bear which will be highly sought after by Charlie collectors...
all proceeds from the sale of these particular raffle tickets will go to Charity.

The Shop
Our shop will be also be open from 10am until 5pm & we have a very
special SPEND & SAVE offer for the day...

Spend £50 or more on Charlie Bears at the Event in the Village Hall & qualify for a
20% discount voucher to be spent in our shop on the same day

Where Are We...?
Nestled by the River Dart & opposite the Steam Railway station, where passengers disembark to visit the historic town of Dartmouth, Kingswear Bears is in the perfect spot for a lovely day out - make a day of it by arriving in style on the Steam Railway from Paignton - see link below for the timetable & prices.

The shop is directly opposite the entrance to the Steam Railway & the Village Hall is only
a few paces further up the road right by the Church and does have wheelchair access.

For car parking in Kingswear, please use the Darthaven Marina Car Park which uses vehicle number plate recognition technology for calculating stay duration & charges. There is also some on street parking on Higher Contour Road at the top of Kingswear and a small car park behind the railway station.

If you are approaching from Totnes on the A3122 then there is the Dartmouth Park and Ride by the Dartmouth Leisure Centre Townstal - Parking Fee £4 per car which includes return travel to the
North Embankment by Park and Ride Coach for the driver and passengers.
You will need to cross the river using either the passenger ferry (£1.50 each way but best if the weather is not so good) or the Lower Ferry, tickets sold on board (£1.10 each way).
