Steiff Rupert Bear Brown
 
Rupert Bear traditionally appeared illustrated with  brown face on the cover of his famous annuals ever since the 1930's.  This tradition was broken in 1973 when the brown-face illustration was amended by the publisher to a white-faced bear.  Only a small number of the 1973 annual were printed with the brown face, as the illustrator intended.

This edition has gone on to become the most treasured, legendary prize highly sought by Rupert's loyal collectors.

As a tribute to this special annual Steiff are proud to introduce Rupert bear in a brown alpaca, traditionally dressed and with brown shiny leather shoes.
