In 2003, Steiff introduced the first in a series of bears who pay tribute to the providers of their inspiration. The series began with Panda Bear followed by Grizzly Ted and Koala Ted.

In 2006, Steiff is delighted to offer the fourth and penultimate in this unique and exciting series "Polar Ted".

The life-like appearance of a Polar bear’s dense coat has been achieved by using the finest alpaca (white) mohair and skilled airbrushing captures the polar bear’s distinctive features.
