upon a time there was an elegantly dressed gentleman with black ears and
sandy coloured whiskers called Mr Tod, but his outward charm belies his
devious nature. When he learns Jemima Puddle-duck is looking for a
nest he offers her the use of his woodshed, not for Jemima to hatch her
ducklings, but so he can take the eggs for himself. Fortunately his
wicked plan is foiled by the intervention of Kep the collie. Steiff's Mr Tod is exquisitely modelled using the finest Alpaca. Wearing his distinctive green suit and carrying his wooden cane, Mr Tod is a fine addition to this much loved series and fully captures the character of Beatrix Potter's original creation. |
