Paul The Growling Bear - celebrating 100 years of the growler |

In 1908 Steiff introduced the
growler mechanism into their teddy bears and the growler has been a feature of
many of their bears since that time. To celebrate this 100 year
anniversary Steiff have introduced a lovely replica of a teddy bear from 1908
together with 3 smaller bears each with wonderful growler mechanisms.

**NEWSFLASH TO ALL RUPERT FANS**
In addition to the exquisite mohair Rupert Bear characters that Steiff are gradually introducing to us we are delighted to announce that later this year Steiff will introduce a plush range of the Rupert Bear characters. As these will be made of a plush material they will be much cheaper to buy than their mohair counterparts. We believe that the characters available in this plush range will be Rupert Bear, Edward Trunk, Bill Badger and Algy Pug and the price of each will be in the region of £30. As soon as we have more details we shall update our website accordingly. |
